Running 13.1 miles was a significant physical challenge especially when summer heat, 100% humidity and aching knees were your biggest concern, but finishing it was a success regardless of how slow you ran.
Completing a half marathon on July 4th was another achievement! A double purpose - run and benefiting homes for our troops.

Beautiful heavy medal. I went to the zoo to get the miles in to try to be on theme. Overall these medals are helping me be active and get outside. Using them as a little motivation for my weight lost journey... 77lbs down.
